VIII.
PROOF.
I
always
love
you,
Here
is
my
proof:
Before
I
love
you,
I
do
not
love
enough.
I
love
you
always,
I
say
to
you
Love
is
life,
And
life
never
ends.
Do
you
doubt
this,
dear?
Then
I
have
Nothing
to
show
But
my
heart.
Do
you
have
a
stream
in
your
small
heart,
Where
shy
flowers
grow,
And
red
birds
go
to
drink,
And
shadows
shake
so?
No
one
knows,
it
flows
so
quiet,
That
any
stream
is
there;
And
yet
your
small
drink
of
life
Is
taken
there
each
day.
Then
look
for
the
small
stream
in
March,
When
rivers
get
big,
And
snow
comes
fast
from
hills,
And
bridges
often
break.
And
later,
in
August
maybe,
When
fields
are
dry
and
hot,
Be
careful,
this
small
stream
of
life
Might
dry
up
in
the
sun!
