VII.
DAWN.
I
do
not
know
when
dawn
comes
So
I
open
each
door;
Does
it
have
feathers
like
a
bird,
Or
waves
like
the
shore?
The
trees
make
a
soft
sound,
Not
loud
like
the
wind.
I
see
a
star
in
the
sky,
But
I
cannot
reach
it.
The
grass
is
long
and
yellow,
I
hear
small
feet
run.
Not
loud
like
our
steps,
But
light
and
sweet.
Little
men
hurry
home,
To
houses
I
cannot
see.
I
know
more
things,
But
you
will
not
believe
me.
Robins
sleep
in
small
beds,
I
see
many
of
them.
Their
wings
show
under
covers,
I
hear
them
try
to
hide!
But
I
say
nothing,
I
keep
my
promise.
You
go
your
way,
I
go
mine,
You
will
not
get
lost.
Morning
is
the
time
for
dew,
Corn
grows
in
the
noon,
After
lunch
light
for
flowers,
Dukes
see
the
setting
sun!
