XV.
THE
LOST
JEWEL.
I
held
a
jewel
in
my
fingers
And
went
to
sleep.
The
day
was
warm,
the
winds
were
soft;
I
said:
"'It
will
keep."
I
woke
and
scolded
my
fingers,
—
The
gem
was
gone;
And
now
a
memory
Is
all
I
own.
