VIII.
LIFE'S
TRADES.
It
is
easy
to
cry,
It
is
short
to
sigh;
But
with
these
small
things
We
live
and
die.
Drowning
is
not
so
bad
As
trying
to
go
up.
A
man
sinks
three
times,
Then
he
goes
down
forever.
Hope
leaves
him
there,
But
God
holds
him.
God's
face
is
nice,
But
we
do
not
look.
We
hide
from
it,
Like
a
bad
thing.
The
bells
are
quiet
now.
Then
they
fill
with
sound,
And
jump
high
in
the
air
With
a
happy
song!
They
call
them
'flowers'
But
others
know
more
Some
read
books
Others
see
with
cloudy
eyes
If
we
stand
with
Moses
He
sees
the
land
We
may
not
need
Many
hard
studies
We
stand
happy
With
stars
in
the
sky
