XXVII.
AURORA.
Of
bronze
and
light
The
north,
tonight!
So
sure
its
forms,
So
planned
with
itself,
So
far
from
alarms,
—
An
unconcern
so
royal
To
universe,
or
me,
It
paints
my
simple
spirit
With
colors
of
majesty,
Till
I
stand
tall,
And
walk
with
pride,
Ignoring
people
and
air,
For
their
pride.
My
splendors
are
a
show;
But
their
great
display
Will
entertain
the
world
When
I
am,
long
ago,
A
place
in
quiet
grass,
Whom
none
but
daisies
know.
