Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 3, Poema 22
XXII.
A
DAY.
I'll
tell
you
how
the
sun
rose,
—
A
ribbon
at
a
time.
The
steeples
swam
in
purple,
The
news
ran
like
squirrels.
The
hills
took
off
their
hats,
The
bobolinks
began.
Then
I
said
softly
to
myself,
That
must
have
been
the
sun!
But
how
he
set,
I
do
not
know.
There
seemed
a
purple
gate
Which
little
yellow
kids
Were
climbing
all
the
while
Till
when
they
reached
the
other
side,
A
teacher
in
gray
Put
up
the
evening
bars,
And
led
them
away.
