XXXVI.
SIGHT.
Before
I
lost
my
sight,
I
liked
to
see
As
other
creatures
with
eyes,
And
knew
no
other
way.
But
if
I
was
told,
today,
That
I
could
have
the
sky
For
mine,
I
tell
you
that
my
heart
Would
break,
for
my
size.
The
meadows
are
mine,
the
mountains
too,
—
All
forests
and
stars,
As
much
of
the
day
as
I
can
see
With
my
small
eyes.
The
birds
fly
in
the
sky,
The
lightning's
bright
path,
I
can
watch
them
when
I
want,
—
The
news
would
shock
me!
So
safer,
I
guess,
with
just
my
soul
At
the
window
glass
Where
others
look
outside,
Not
afraid
of
the
sun.
