XXVI.
THE
STORM.
A
wind
came
like
a
loud
horn;
It
shook
the
grass
around,
And
a
green
cold
in
the
heat
Made
us
feel
worried.
We
closed
the
windows
and
doors
Because
of
a
green
ghost;
The
storm's
electric
shoes
Passed
by
us
quickly.
Trees
moved
like
a
strange
crowd,
And
fences
fell
away,
And
rivers
where
houses
stood
People
watched
that
day.
The
bell
in
the
tall
tower
Rang
with
the
news
fast.
So
much
can
come
And
much
can
go,
But
the
world
stays!
