V.
THE
SUN'S
WOOING.
The
sun
touched
the
morning;
The
morning
felt
happy,
Thought
he
came
to
stay,
And
life
would
be
all
spring.
She
felt
herself
higher,
—
A
light,
airy
thing;
Now,
what
fun
for
her!
Meanwhile,
her
king
Moved
slowly
through
orchards
With
fancy,
shiny
hems,
Leaving
a
new
need,
—
The
want
for
crowns!
The
morning
fluttered,
staggered,
Touched
her
head
for
her
crown,
—
Her
bare
forehead
Now
her
only
one.
