XX.
I
taste
a
liquor
never
brewed,
From
cups
made
of
pearl;
Not
all
the
vats
on
the
Rhine
Give
such
an
alcohol!
Inebriated
by
air
am
I,
And
drunk
on
dew,
Staggering
through
endless
summer
days,
From
inns
of
blue
sky.
When
landlords
turn
the
drunk
bee
Out
of
the
flower's
door,
When
butterflies
refuse
their
drinks,
I
will
drink
more!
Till
angels
wave
their
white
hats,
And
saints
run
to
windows,
To
see
the
little
drinker
Leaning
against
the
sun!
