LONGING.
I
envy
seas
he
rides
on,
I
envy
wheels'
spokes
Of
chariots
that
carry
him,
I
envy
silent
hills
That
watch
his
journey;
How
easy
they
can
see
What
is
forbidden
to
me
As
heaven
is!
I
envy
sparrows'
nests
That
dot
his
distant
eaves,
The
fly
on
his
window,
The
happy,
happy
leaves
That
just
outside
his
window
Have
summer's
leave
to
be,
The
earrings
of
Pizarro
Could
not
bring
to
me.
I
envy
light
that
wakes
him,
And
bells
that
ring
boldly
To
tell
him
it's
noon,
I
could
be
his
noon,
Yet
stop
my
blossom
And
remove
my
bee,
Lest
noon
in
endless
night
Drop
Gabriel
and
me.
