XXVII.
AURORA.
Of
bronze
and
blaze
The
north,
tonight!
So
perfect
its
forms,
So
planned
with
itself,
So
far
from
alarms,
—
An
unconcern
so
royal
To
universe,
or
me,
It
paints
my
simple
spirit
With
colors
of
majesty,
Till
I
take
bigger
attitudes,
And
walk
proudly,
Ignoring
men
and
air,
For
their
pride.
My
splendors
are
a
show;
But
their
unmatched
display
Will
entertain
the
ages
When
I
am,
long
ago,
An
island
in
forgotten
grass,
Known
only
to
daisies.
