XII.
THE
ORIOLE'S
SECRET.
To
hear
an
oriole
sing
May
be
a
normal
thing,
Or
only
a
divine.
It
is
not
of
the
bird
Who
sings
the
same,
unheard,
As
to
a
crowd.
The
way
the
ear
is
dressed
Makes
it
hear
In
dull
or
bright.
So
whether
it
be
tune,
Or
whether
it
be
none,
Is
from
within;
The
"tune
is
in
the
tree,"
The
doubter
shows
me;
No,
sir!
In
thee!
