XXI.
A
TEMPEST.
A
terrible
storm
shook
the
air,
The
clouds
were
thin
and
few;
A
black,
like
a
ghost's
cloak,
Hid
heaven
and
earth
from
view.
The
creatures
laughed
on
the
roofs
And
whistled
in
the
air,
And
shook
their
fists
and
gnashed
their
teeth.
And
swung
their
wild
hair.
The
morning
came,
the
birds
rose;
The
monster's
tired
eyes
Turned
slowly
to
his
home,
And
peace
was
Paradise!
