Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 8, Poema 7
VII.
I
read
my
sentence
clearly,
Looked
at
it
again,
To
see
there
was
no
mistake
In
its
final
part,
—
The
date,
and
manner
of
the
shame;
And
then
the
kind
words
That
"God
have
mercy"
on
the
soul
The
jury
sentenced.
I
made
my
soul
ready
For
her
end,
So
at
the
last
it
would
not
be
A
new
pain,
But
she
and
Death,
familiar,
Meet
calmly
as
friends,
Greet
and
pass
without
a
word
—
And
there
it
ends.
