X.
FORGOTTEN.
There
is
a
word
That
bears
a
sword
Can
pierce
an
armored
man.
It
throws
its
sharp
syllables,—
Then
becomes
silent
again.
But
where
it
fell
The
saved
will
tell
On
a
patriotic
day,
Some
decorated
brother
Gave
his
breath
away.
Wherever
the
sun
runs
without
breath,
Wherever
day
roams,
There
is
its
silent
attack,
There
is
its
victory!
Behold
the
sharpest
marksman!
The
most
skillful
shot!
Time's
grandest
target
Is
a
soul
'forgot'!
