XV.
THE
BEE.
Like
trains
on
plush
tracks
I
hear
the
steady
bee:
A
jar
across
the
flowers
goes,
Their
velvet
construction
Withstands
until
the
sweet
attack
Their
bravery
consumes,
While
he,
victorious,
flies
away
To
conquer
other
blooms.
His
feet
are
dressed
with
gauze,
His
helmet
is
of
gold;
His
chest,
a
single
onyx
With
chrysoprase,
inlaid.
His
work
is
a
song,
His
leisure
a
tune;
Oh,
for
a
bee's
experience
Of
clovers
and
of
noon!
