Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 5, Poema 48
XLVIII.
To
my
books,
it's
good
to
turn
At
the
end
of
tiring
days;
It
half
makes
up
for
abstinence,
And
pain
is
missed
in
praise.
As
flavors
cheer
delayed
guests
With
feasts
to
come,
So
spices
brighten
the
time
Till
my
small
library.
It
may
be
wilderness
outside,
With
weary
travelers,
But
holidays
keep
the
night
away,
And
it
rings
with
bells
inside.
I
thank
these
friends
on
the
shelf;
Their
kind
faces
charm
In
anticipation,
And
satisfy,
once
reached.
