Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 6, Poema 6
VI.
The
way
I
read
a
letter
is
like
this:
First,
I
lock
the
door,
And
push
it
with
my
fingers
next,
To
ensure
transport
for
sure.
Then
I
go
far
away
To
avoid
a
sudden
knock;
Then
take
my
little
letter
out
And
gently
pick
its
lock.
Then,
glancing
closely
at
the
wall,
And
closely
at
the
floor,
For
firm
belief
of
a
mouse
Not
chased
away
before,
Read
how
infinite
I
am
To
—
no
one
that
you
know!
And
sigh
for
lack
of
heaven,
—
but
not
The
heaven
that
creeds
show.
