NATURE'S
CHANGES.
The
springtime's
muted
scenery
Will
soon
bloom
like
a
vivid
bouquet,
Even
though
today
the
village
rests
Beneath
a
deep,
marble-like
snow.
The
lilacs,
heavy
with
years,
Will
droop
with
their
purple
weight;
The
bees
will
hum
the
melody
Their
ancestors
once
created.
The
rose
will
blush
in
the
marsh,
The
aster
on
the
hill
will
stand
In
her
timeless
elegance,
And
the
gentians
will
frill
with
promise,
Until
summer
folds
her
wonders
As
women
do
their
dresses,
Or
priests
put
away
the
symbols
When
the
sacrament
concludes.
