Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 4, Poema 4
IV.
Secure
in
their
alabaster
chambers,
Untouched
by
morning
and
untouched
by
noon,
Sleep
the
humble
members
of
the
resurrection,
Ceiling
of
satin,
and
roof
of
stone.
Gently
laughs
the
breeze
in
her
castle
of
sunshine;
The
bee
murmurs
in
an
indifferent
ear;
The
sweet
birds
sing
in
ignorant
cadence,
—
Ah,
what
wisdom
perished
here!
Majestically
the
years
pass
in
the
crescent
above
them;
Worlds
carve
their
paths,
and
firmaments
row,
Diadems
fall
and
Doges
surrender,
Silently
like
dots
on
a
disk
of
snow.
