Poemas de Emily Dickinson, Tres Series, Completo
Colección 5, Poema 48
XLVIII.
To
my
books,
it's
so
good
to
turn
At
the
end
of
long
days;
It
half
endears
the
abstinence,
And
pain
is
lost
in
praise.
As
flavors
delight
delayed
guests
With
feasts
yet
to
come,
So
spices
invigorate
the
time
Until
my
small
library.
It
may
be
a
wilderness
outside,
With
feet
of
weary
men,
But
celebration
keeps
the
night
at
bay,
And
there
are
bells
within.
I
thank
these
kin
on
the
shelf;
Their
gentle
faces
enchant
In
anticipation,
And
satisfy,
once
obtained.
