PROBLEMS.
Bring
me
the
sunset
in
a
cup,
Calculate
the
morning's
flagons,
And
tell
me
how
many
dew
drops;
Tell
me
how
far
the
morning
leaps,
Tell
me
when
the
weaver
sleeps
Who
spun
the
breadths
of
blue!
Write
how
many
notes
there
are
In
the
new
robin's
ecstasy
Among
astonished
boughs;
How
many
journeys
the
tortoise
makes,
How
many
sips
the
bee
partakes,—
The
reveler
of
dews!
Also,
who
laid
the
rainbow's
piers,
Also,
who
guides
the
docile
spheres
With
supple
blue
cords?
Whose
fingers
string
the
stalactite,
Who
counts
the
wampum
of
the
night,
To
ensure
none
is
due?
Who
built
this
little
Alban
house
And
shut
the
windows
so
tightly
My
spirit
cannot
see?
Who'll
let
me
out
some
gala
day,
With
tools
to
fly
away,
Transcending
pomposity?
