Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
A Scandal in Bohemia
Capítulo 1, Página 1
To
Sherlock
Holmes,
she
was
always
the
woman.
He
never
called
her
anything
else.
In
his
eyes,
she
was
above
all
other
women.
He
did
not
love
Irene
Adler.
Love
and
other
emotions
did
not
touch
him.
Holmes
was
like
a
machine
for
thinking
and
watching.
Emotions
were
not
for
him.
He
only
liked
to
think
and
solve
problems.
Irene
Adler
was
the
only
woman
he
remembered.
I
did
not
see
Holmes
much
lately.
I
got
married,
and
we
grew
apart.
I
was
happy
at
home
with
my
new
life.
Holmes
stayed
in
Baker
Street
with
his
books.
He
did
not
like
society.
He
was
busy
with
crime
cases.
He
liked
solving
mysteries.
I
heard
about
his
work
sometimes.
He
went
to
Odessa
for
a
murder
case.
He
solved
a
tragedy
in
Trincomalee.
He
helped
a
royal
family
in
Holland.
But
I
knew
little
about
him
now.
One
night,
on
March
20,
1888,
I
walked
past
Baker
Street.
I
was
coming
home
from
seeing
a
patient.
I
wanted
to
see
Holmes
again.
His
rooms
were
bright.
I
saw
his
shadow
in
the
window.
He
walked
back
and
forth.
He
was
thinking
hard.
I
knew
he
was
working
on
a
new
case.
I
rang
the
bell
and
went
up
to
his
room.
Holmes
was
not
very
warm,
but
he
was
glad
to
see
me.
He
pointed
to
a
chair
for
me.
He
offered
me
cigars
and
a
drink.
Then
he
stood
by
the
fire
and
looked
at
me.
"Marriage
suits
you,"
he
said.
"I
think
you
have
gained
weight,
Watson."
"Seven
pounds!"
I
said.
"I
thought
it
was
more,"
he
replied.
"And
you
are
working
again.
You
did
not
tell
me."
"How
do
you
know?"
I
asked.
