Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet
Capítulo 11, Página 9
"Now
I
tell
you
an
important
part.
I
do
not
sleep
well.
I
was
worried,
so
I
slept
even
less.
At
two
in
the
morning,
I
heard
a
noise
in
the
house.
It
stopped
before
I
was
fully
awake,
but
I
felt
like
a
window
closed
somewhere.
I
listened
carefully.
Then
I
heard
footsteps
in
the
next
room.
I
got
out
of
bed,
scared,
and
looked
around
the
door."
"Arthur!"
I
screamed.
"You
thief!
How
dare
you
touch
the
coronet?"
"The
light
was
on,
and
my
son,
in
his
shirt
and
trousers,
stood
by
it.
He
held
the
coronet
in
his
hands
and
was
bending
it.
When
I
cried,
he
dropped
it
and
turned
pale.
I
picked
it
up
and
looked
at
it.
One
gold
corner
and
three
stones
were
missing."
"You
ruined
it!"
I
shouted,
very
angry.
"You
dishonored
me!
Where
are
the
jewels
you
took?"
"Stolen!"
he
cried.
"Yes,
thief!"
I
shouted,
shaking
him.
"None
are
missing.
There
cannot
be
any
missing,"
he
said.
"Three
are
missing.
You
know
where
they
are.
Do
I
need
to
call
you
a
liar
too?
Did
I
not
see
you
trying
to
break
it?"
