Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Boscombe Valley Mystery
Capítulo 4, Página 24
"Holmes,"
I
said,
"you
found
this
man.
You
saved
an
innocent
life.
I
see
where
this
goes.
The
man
is—"
"Mr.
John
Turner,"
said
the
waiter,
opening
the
door
and
bringing
in
a
visitor.
The
man
who
came
in
looked
strange.
He
walked
slowly
and
limped.
His
shoulders
were
bent.
He
looked
weak,
but
his
face
and
body
were
strong.
His
beard
and
hair
were
messy.
His
face
was
white,
and
his
lips
were
blue.
He
looked
very
sick.
"Please
sit
down,"
said
Holmes
gently.
"Did
you
get
my
note?"
"Yes,
the
lodge-keeper
gave
it
to
me.
You
said
you
wanted
to
see
me
here
to
avoid
gossip."
"I
thought
people
would
talk
if
I
went
to
the
Hall."
"Why
did
you
want
to
see
me?"
He
looked
at
Holmes.
His
eyes
were
sad.
"Yes,"
said
Holmes,
answering
his
look.
"I
know
about
McCarthy."
