signal.

and
found

father
by

pool.

was

to

and

He
was
very

so
I
left.
I
walked
back
to
Hatherley
Farm.
Then
I
heard
a
loud
cry.
I
ran
back
and
found
my
father
on
the
ground.
His
head
was
hurt.
I
held
him,
but
he
died.
I
went
to
Mr.
Turner's
lodge-keeper
for
help.
I
saw
no
one
else.
I
don't
know
how
he
got
hurt.
He
was
not
popular,
but
I
don't
know
of
any
enemies.
I
know
nothing
more.'"

Did
