room
has
odd
things.

open

to
another
room?

go
outside!"

new

Miss
Stoner.
"Done
at

same
time

the
bell-rope?"
"Yes,
many
changes
happened
then."
"Interesting
changes—dummy
ropes
and
bad
ventilators.
Let’s
go
to
the
next
room,
Miss
Stoner."
Dr.
Roylott’s
room
was
bigger
but
plain.
It
had
a
camp-bed,
a
shelf
with
books,
a
chair
by
the
bed,
another
chair
by
the
wall,
a
table,
and
a
big
iron
safe.
Holmes
looked
at
everything.
"What’s
in
here?"
he
asked,
tapping
the
safe.
"My
stepfather’s
papers."
