Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
A Scandal in Bohemia
Capítulo 1, Página 24
“She
won’t
be
able
to.
I
hear
wheels.
Her
carriage
is
coming.
Now,
follow
my
instructions
exactly.”
As
he
spoke,
the
lights
of
a
carriage
appeared.
It
was
a
nice
little
carriage
that
stopped
at
Briony
Lodge.
As
it
stopped,
one
man
ran
to
open
the
door
for
money,
but
another
pushed
him
away
to
do
the
same.
A
fight
started,
and
the
soldiers
joined
in,
supporting
one
side,
while
the
scissors
man
supported
the
other.
A
punch
was
thrown,
and
soon
the
lady
who
stepped
out
was
surrounded
by
fighting
men.
Holmes
rushed
in
to
protect
her,
but
as
he
reached
her,
he
cried
out
and
fell,
blood
on
his
face.
When
he
fell,
the
soldiers
and
men
ran
away,
while
others
came
to
help
the
lady
and
the
hurt
man.
Irene
Adler,
as
I
call
her,
went
up
the
steps
but
looked
back
into
the
street.
“Is
the
poor
man
badly
hurt?”
she
asked.
“He
is
dead,”
some
voices
said.
“No,
no,
he’s
still
alive!”
shouted
another.
“But
he’ll
die
before
you
get
him
to
a
hospital.”
“He’s
brave,”
said
a
woman.
“They
would
have
taken
the
lady’s
purse
and
watch
if
not
for
him.
They
were
a
gang,
and
a
rough
one.
Ah,
he’s
breathing
now.”
“He
can’t
stay
in
the
street.
Can
we
bring
him
in,
ma’am?”
“Yes,
bring
him
into
the
sitting-room.
There
is
a
comfortable
sofa.
This
way,
please!”
