Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor
Capítulo 10, Página 23
"I've
wasted
enough
time,"
said
Lestrade,
standing
up.
"I
believe
in
hard
work,
not
sitting
by
the
fire.
Goodbye,
Mr.
Holmes.
We
will
see
who
solves
this
first."
He
put
the
clothes
in
the
bag
and
left.
"One
hint,
Lestrade,"
said
Holmes
before
Lestrade
left.
"I
will
tell
you
the
truth.
Lady
St.
Simon
is
a
myth.
There
is
no
such
person."
Lestrade
looked
sadly
at
Holmes.
Then
he
turned
to
me,
tapped
his
forehead
three
times,
shook
his
head,
and
left
quickly.
He
had
just
closed
the
door
when
Holmes
got
up
to
put
on
his
coat.
"He
is
right
about
outdoor
work,"
he
said.
"So,
Watson,
I
will
leave
you
to
your
papers."
It
was
after
five
o'clock
when
Holmes
left,
but
I
was
not
lonely.
Within
an
hour,
a
man
from
a
confectioner
arrived
with
a
large
box.
He
unpacked
it
with
a
young
helper,
and
soon
a
wonderful
cold
supper
was
on
our
table.
There
were
cold
woodcock,
a
pheasant,
a
pie,
and
bottles
of
wine.
They
left
without
explaining,
saying
everything
was
paid
for
and
ordered
to
this
address.
Just
before
nine
o'clock,
Holmes
came
back.
His
face
was
serious,
but
his
eyes
looked
satisfied.
"They
have
set
the
supper,"
he
said,
rubbing
his
hands.
"You
expect
company.
They
have
set
places
for
five."
