Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet
Capítulo 11, Página 18
"And
he
has
a
wooden
leg?"
Fear
appeared
in
the
young
lady’s
dark
eyes.
"You
are
like
a
magician,"
she
said.
"How
do
you
know
that?"
She
smiled,
but
Holmes
did
not
smile
back.
"I
would
like
to
go
upstairs
now,"
he
said.
"I
might
want
to
look
outside
again.
Maybe
I
should
check
the
lower
windows
before
going
up."
He
quickly
walked
around,
pausing
only
at
the
large
window
facing
the
stable
lane.
He
opened
it
and
examined
the
sill
carefully
with
his
magnifying
glass.
"Now
we
shall
go
upstairs,"
he
said
at
last.
The
banker’s
dressing
room
was
a
simple
room
with
a
grey
carpet,
a
large
bureau,
and
a
long
mirror.
Holmes
went
to
the
bureau
first
and
looked
closely
at
the
lock.
"Which
key
opened
it?"
he
asked.
"The
one
my
son
said—the
cupboard
key
from
the
lumber-room."
"Do
you
have
it
here?"
