Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Red-Headed League
Capítulo 2, Página 12
"Eight
weeks
passed
like
this,
and
I
wrote
about
Abbots
and
Archery
and
Armour
and
Architecture
and
Attica.
I
hoped
to
start
on
the
B’s
soon.
It
cost
me
in
paper,
and
I
filled
a
shelf
with
my
writings.
Then
suddenly,
the
whole
thing
ended."
"Ended?"
"Yes,
sir.
This
morning.
I
went
to
work
at
ten,
but
the
door
was
shut
and
locked
with
a
small
sign
on
it.
Here
it
is,
you
can
read
it."
He
held
up
a
piece
of
white
cardboard
like
a
note-paper.
It
read:
"THE
RED-HEADED
LEAGUE
IS
DISSOLVED.
October
9,
1890."
Sherlock
Holmes
and
I
looked
at
this
short
message
and
the
sad
face
behind
it,
until
we
both
started
laughing
because
it
was
so
funny.
"‘I
don’t
see
what
is
funny,’
cried
our
client,
his
face
red.
‘If
you
just
laugh
at
me,
I
can
go
somewhere
else.’"
"‘No,
no,’
cried
Holmes,
pushing
him
back
into
the
chair.
‘I
wouldn’t
miss
your
case
for
the
world.
It
is
very
unusual.
But,
if
you
don’t
mind
me
saying,
there
is
something
a
little
funny
about
it.
What
did
you
do
when
you
found
the
sign
on
the
door?’"
