Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Red-Headed League
Capítulo 2, Página 21
"Good.
And,
Doctor,
there
might
be
some
danger,
so
please
bring
your
army
revolver."
He
waved
and
quickly
disappeared
into
the
crowd.
I
often
felt
slow
when
I
was
with
Sherlock
Holmes.
I
heard
and
saw
the
same
things
as
him,
but
he
understood
everything
clearly.
As
I
went
home
to
Kensington,
I
thought
about
the
story
of
the
red-headed
man
and
our
visit
to
Saxe-Coburg
Square.
Holmes's
words
about
danger
worried
me.
Why
did
I
need
to
be
armed?
Where
were
we
going?
I
knew
that
Holmes
thought
the
pawnbroker’s
assistant
was
dangerous.
I
tried
to
understand
but
gave
up
and
waited
for
the
night
to
explain
it.
At
nine-fifteen,
I
left
home
and
walked
through
the
Park
to
Baker
Street.
Two
cabs
were
at
the
door,
and
I
heard
voices
from
above.
Inside,
I
found
Holmes
talking
with
two
men.
One
was
Peter
Jones,
a
police
officer,
and
the
other
was
a
tall,
sad-looking
man
with
a
shiny
hat.
"Our
group
is
complete,"
said
Holmes,
putting
on
his
coat
and
taking
his
stick.
"Watson,
you
know
Mr.
Jones
from
Scotland
Yard.
This
is
Mr.
Merryweather,
who
will
join
us
tonight."
"We
are
working
together
again,
Doctor,"
said
Jones
proudly.
"Our
friend
starts
the
chase,
but
he
needs
help
to
catch
the
criminal."
"I
hope
we
don't
chase
nothing,"
said
Mr.
Merryweather
sadly.
"You
can
trust
Mr.
Holmes,"
said
the
police
officer.
"He
has
his
own
ways,
which
are
a
bit
unusual,
but
he
is
good.
In
some
cases,
like
the
Sholto
murder,
he
was
better
than
the
police."
"If
you
say
so,
Mr.
Jones,
then
it
is
fine,"
said
the
stranger.
"But
I
miss
my
card
game.
It
is
the
first
Saturday
in
twenty-seven
years
that
I
have
missed
it."
