Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Boscombe Valley Mystery
Capítulo 4, Página 1
One
morning,
my
wife
and
I
were
having
breakfast
when
the
maid
brought
a
telegram.
It
was
from
Sherlock
Holmes
and
said:
"Do
you
have
a
couple
of
days
free?
I
have
been
called
to
the
west
of
England
for
the
Boscombe
Valley
tragedy.
I
would
be
glad
if
you
come
with
me.
The
air
and
scenery
are
perfect.
Leave
Paddington
by
the
11:00
train."
"What
do
you
think,
dear?"
my
wife
asked
me.
"Will
you
go?"
"I
don't
know
what
to
say.
I
have
a
lot
of
work
now."
"Anstruther
can
do
your
work
for
you.
You
look
a
bit
pale
lately.
I
think
a
change
will
be
good
for
you,
and
you
always
like
Mr.
Sherlock
Holmes'
cases."
"I
would
be
ungrateful
if
I
didn't,
after
what
I
gained
from
one
of
them,"
I
said.
"But
if
I
go,
I
must
pack
now,
because
I
have
only
half
an
hour."
My
time
in
Afghanistan
made
me
a
quick
traveler.
My
needs
were
simple,
so
in
less
time
than
I
thought,
I
was
in
a
cab
with
my
bag,
going
to
Paddington
Station.
Sherlock
Holmes
was
walking
up
and
down
the
platform,
his
tall,
thin
figure
looking
even
taller
in
his
long
grey
coat
and
cap.
"It's
very
good
of
you
to
come,
Watson,"
he
said.
"It
makes
a
big
difference
to
me,
having
someone
I
can
trust.
Local
help
is
often
useless
or
biased.
If
you
keep
the
two
corner
seats,
I
will
get
the
tickets."
