Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Man with the Twisted Lip
Capítulo 6, Página 7
"Near
Lee,
in
Kent.
We
have
a
seven-mile
drive
ahead."
"But
I
don’t
know
anything."
"Of
course
not.
You’ll
know
everything
soon.
Get
up
here.
All
right,
John;
we
don’t
need
you.
Here’s
some
money.
Look
for
me
tomorrow
at
eleven.
Let’s
go!"
He
hit
the
horse
with
his
whip,
and
we
went
fast
through
dark,
empty
streets.
The
streets
got
wider
until
we
crossed
a
big
bridge,
with
the
river
moving
slowly
below.
Beyond
was
another
quiet
area
of
buildings,
with
only
the
sound
of
a
policeman’s
steps
or
a
party’s
songs
breaking
the
silence.
Clouds
moved
slowly
across
the
sky,
and
a
few
stars
shone
through.
Holmes
drove
silently,
deep
in
thought,
while
I
sat
next
to
him,
curious
about
the
new
case.
We
drove
for
miles
and
reached
the
edge
of
the
city
when
he
shook
himself,
shrugged,
and
lit
his
pipe
like
he
was
sure
he
was
doing
the
right
thing.
"You
are
very
good
at
being
quiet,
Watson,"
he
said.
"It
makes
you
a
great
companion.
It’s
nice
to
have
someone
to
talk
to,
as
my
thoughts
are
not
happy
ones.
I
was
thinking
about
what
to
say
to
the
woman
when
she
meets
me
at
the
door."
"You
forget
I
know
nothing
about
it."
"I
have
time
to
tell
you
the
facts
before
we
get
to
Lee.
It
seems
simple,
but
I
can’t
find
the
answer.
There’s
a
lot
of
information,
but
I
can’t
figure
it
out.
I’ll
explain
it
to
you,
Watson,
and
maybe
you
can
see
something
I
missed."
"Go
on,
then."
