Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle
Capítulo 7, Página 1
I
visited
my
friend
Sherlock
Holmes
two
days
after
Christmas.
I
wanted
to
wish
him
a
happy
holiday.
He
was
lying
on
the
sofa
in
a
purple
robe.
A
pipe
rack
was
near
him,
and
there
were
many
crumpled
newspapers.
Next
to
the
sofa
was
a
wooden
chair.
On
the
chair's
back
hung
an
old,
worn-out
hat.
A
lens
and
forceps
lay
on
the
chair,
showing
the
hat
was
being
examined.
"You
are
busy,"
I
said.
"Am
I
interrupting
you?"
"Not
at
all.
I
am
happy
to
discuss
my
findings
with
a
friend.
The
matter
is
simple,"
he
said,
pointing
at
the
old
hat.
"But
there
are
things
about
it
that
are
interesting
and
even
educational."
I
sat
in
his
armchair
and
warmed
my
hands
by
the
fire.
It
was
very
cold,
and
the
windows
were
covered
with
ice.
"I
suppose,"
I
said,
"that
this
hat
has
an
exciting
story.
Maybe
it
is
a
clue
to
a
mystery
or
a
crime."
"No,
no.
No
crime,"
said
Sherlock
Holmes,
laughing.
"It's
just
one
of
those
funny
little
events
that
happen
when
many
people
live
close
together.
With
so
many
people,
strange
things
can
happen,
and
small
problems
can
be
interesting
without
being
criminal.
We
have
seen
this
before."
"Yes,"
I
said,
"in
the
last
six
cases
I
wrote
about,
three
had
no
crime."
"Exactly.
You
mean
the
case
with
Irene
Adler's
papers,
Miss
Mary
Sutherland,
and
the
man
with
the
twisted
lip.
I
think
this
small
matter
is
the
same.
Do
you
know
Peterson,
the
commissionaire?"
"Yes."
