Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Speckled Band
Capítulo 8, Página 12
"I
cannot
imagine."
"When
you
think
about
whistles
at
night,
the
gipsies,
and
the
doctor
who
doesn't
want
his
stepdaughter
to
marry,
and
the
dying
words
about
a
band,
plus
the
sound
of
metal
Miss
Helen
Stoner
heard,
it
seems
the
mystery
might
be
solved
this
way."
"But
what
did
the
gipsies
do?"
"I
don't
know."
"I
see
many
problems
with
this
idea."
"So
do
I.
That's
why
we're
going
to
Stoke
Moran
today.
I
want
to
see
if
these
problems
are
serious
or
if
we
can
explain
them.
But
what
on
earth!"
My
friend
said
this
because
the
door
opened
suddenly.
A
huge
man
stood
there.
He
wore
a
strange
mix
of
clothes,
with
a
top
hat,
long
coat,
and
high
boots.
He
held
a
hunting-crop.
He
was
so
tall
that
his
hat
touched
the
door
frame.
His
face
was
large,
full
of
wrinkles,
and
looked
mean.
His
eyes
were
deep-set,
and
his
nose
was
thin,
like
a
bird
of
prey.
"Which
of
you
is
Holmes?"
asked
the
man.
