Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet
Capítulo 11, Página 18
"And
he
has
a
wooden
leg?"
Fear
showed
in
the
young
lady's
eyes.
"You're
like
a
magician,"
she
said.
"How
do
you
know
that?"
She
smiled,
but
Holmes
didn't
smile
back.
"I'd
like
to
go
upstairs
now,"
he
said.
"I'll
probably
want
to
check
the
outside
of
the
house
again.
Maybe
I
should
look
at
the
lower
windows
first."
He
quickly
checked
each
window,
stopping
at
the
large
one
facing
the
stable
lane.
He
opened
it
and
examined
the
sill
with
a
magnifying
lens.
"Now
let's
go
upstairs,"
he
finally
said.
The
banker's
dressing-room
was
small,
with
a
grey
carpet,
a
large
bureau,
and
a
long
mirror.
Holmes
went
to
the
bureau
and
examined
the
lock.
"Which
key
opened
it?"
he
asked.
"The
one
my
son
mentioned—the
cupboard
key
from
the
lumber-room."
"Do
you
have
it
here?"
