Las aventuras de Sherlock Holmes
The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle
Capítulo 7, Página 22
The
stranger's
cheeks
turned
red.
"Well
then,"
he
said,
"my
real
name
is
James
Ryder."
"Exactly.
You're
the
head
attendant
at
the
Hotel
Cosmopolitan.
Please
get
into
the
cab,
and
soon
I'll
tell
you
everything
you
want
to
know."
The
little
man
looked
at
us
with
eyes
that
were
both
scared
and
hopeful,
like
he
didn't
know
if
something
good
or
bad
was
about
to
happen.
Then
he
got
into
the
cab,
and
in
thirty
minutes,
we
were
back
in
the
sitting-room
at
Baker
Street.
We
didn't
talk
during
the
ride,
but
his
quick
breathing
and
the
way
he
kept
clasping
and
unclasping
his
hands
showed
how
nervous
he
was.
"Here
we
are!"
said
Holmes
cheerfully
as
we
entered
the
room.
"The
fire
is
nice
and
warm
in
this
weather.
You
look
cold,
Mr.
Ryder.
Please
sit
in
the
basket-chair.
I'll
put
on
my
slippers
before
we
discuss
your
little
problem.
So,
you
want
to
know
what
happened
to
those
geese?"
"Yes,
sir."
"Or
rather,
I
think,
that
one
goose.
It
was
one
bird,
right?
White,
with
a
black
bar
on
its
tail."
Ryder
trembled
with
emotion.
"Oh,
sir,"
he
cried,
"can
you
tell
me
where
it
went?"
"It
came
here."
