Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 16, Página 4
“Tom,
I
wish
you’d
come,
too.
Think
about
it.
We’ll
wait
for
you
at
the
shore.”
“Well,
you’ll
wait
a
long
time,
that’s
all.”
Huck
walked
away
sadly.
Tom
watched
him,
wanting
to
go,
too.
He
hoped
the
boys
would
stop,
but
they
kept
walking.
Tom
felt
lonely.
He
fought
with
his
pride
and
then
ran
after
them,
yelling:
“Wait!
Wait!
I
want
to
tell
you
something!”
They
stopped
and
turned
around.
When
Tom
reached
them,
he
told
his
secret.
They
listened
sadly
until
they
understood
his
idea.
Then
they
cheered
and
said
it
was
great!
They
said
if
he
told
them
before,
they
wouldn’t
have
left.
Tom
made
an
excuse,
but
he
had
kept
the
secret
to
make
them
stay
longer.
The
boys
came
back
happily
and
played
again.
They
talked
about
Tom’s
big
plan
and
liked
it.
After
an
egg
and
fish
dinner,
Tom
said
he
wanted
to
learn
how
to
smoke.
Joe
liked
the
idea,
too.
Huck
made
pipes
and
filled
them.
They
never
smoked
before,
only
grapevine
cigars.
They
lay
on
their
elbows
and
began
to
smoke
slowly.
The
smoke
tasted
bad,
and
they
gagged
a
little,
but
Tom
said:
“Why,
it’s
easy!
If
I
knew
this,
I’d
have
learned
long
ago.”
