Jim

interested.
He
put
down
his
pail.
He
took
the
marble.
He
looked
at
Tom's
toe.
Then
he
ran
away
with
his
pail.
Tom
painted
fast.
Aunt
Polly
watched
with
a
slipper
in
her
hand.
Tom
stopped
painting.
He
thought
about
his
fun
plans.
He
felt
sad
again.
Other
boys
would
come
soon.
They
would
laugh
at
him.
He
checked
his
toys.
He
had
marbles
and
other
things.
He
could
not
buy
freedom.
Then
he
had
an
idea!
He
started
painting
again.
Ben
Rogers
came.
Ben
was
happy.
He
ate
an
apple.
He
made
noises
like
a
boat.
He
moved
like
a
boat.
He
was
having
fun.
"Stop
the
boat!"
he
said.
He
moved
slowly
to

sidewalk.
