Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 29, Página 3
“Who
wants
to
go
to
the
cave?”
Everyone
did.
They
got
candles
and
ran
up
the
hill.
The
cave
was
up
the
hill,
shaped
like
an
A.
It
was
cold
inside
with
wet
stone
walls.
It
was
dark
but
exciting.
They
lit
a
candle
and
ran
around.
They
laughed
and
chased
each
other.
Soon,
they
went
down
the
main
path.
The
cave
was
big
and
like
a
maze.
It
had
many
paths.
No
one
knew
the
whole
cave.
Tom
knew
a
lot
of
it.
The
group
walked
down
the
main
path.
Then
they
split
into
small
groups.
They
ran
through
the
dark
paths
and
surprised
each
other.
They
stayed
in
the
known
parts
of
the
cave.
The
groups
came
back
to
the
cave
entrance.
They
were
tired,
dirty,
and
happy.
They
didn’t
know
it
was
late.
The
ferryboat
bell
rang
for
a
long
time.
They
thought
it
was
a
good
end
to
the
day.
The
ferryboat
left
with
the
kids.
Only
the
boat
captain
cared
about
the
time.
Huck
was
watching
when
the
ferryboat
passed.
It
was
quiet
because
the
kids
were
tired.
Huck
wondered
about
the
boat.
It
didn’t
stop
at
the
dock,
and
he
forgot
about
it.
The
night
got
dark.
At
ten
o’clock,
the
village
was
quiet.
Huck
was
alone
with
the
silence.
At
eleven
o’clock,
all
lights
went
out.
Huck
waited
a
long
time,
but
nothing
happened.
He
started
to
lose
hope.
Was
it
worth
it?
Should
he
stop
and
go
to
bed?
Huck
heard
a
noise.
He
listened.
The
alley
door
closed
softly.
He
ran
to
the
corner.
Two
men
walked
by
him.
One
man
had
something
under
his
arm.
Huck
thought,
"It
is
the
box!"
The
men
wanted
to
take
the
treasure.
Huck
did
not
call
Tom.
He
followed
them
in
the
dark.
He
moved
quietly
behind
them.
The
men
walked
three
blocks.
They
turned
left
on
another
street.
They
walked
to
Cardiff
Hill.
They
passed
the
old
Welshman’s
house.
Huck
thought
they
would
bury
the
box
in
the
quarry.
But
they
did
not
stop
there.
They
went
up
the
hill.
They
went
into
a
path
with
tall
bushes.
Huck
moved
closer.
He
walked
slowly.
He
stopped
and
listened.
He
heard
nothing.
He
heard
his
heart
beat.
An
owl
hooted.
Huck
felt
scared.
Then,
a
man
coughed
nearby.
Huck
was
very
scared.
He
shook
and
felt
weak.
He
knew
where
he
was.
He
was
near
Widow
Douglas’
house.
He
thought,
"They
will
bury
it
here."
Huck
heard
a
voice.
It
was
Injun
Joe.
