Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 30, Página 3
“Oh
no,
no!
Please
don’t
tell!”
When
the
young
men
were
gone,
the
old
Welshman
said:
“They
won’t
tell,
and
I
won’t.
But
why
don’t
you
want
people
to
know?”
Huck
did
not
explain
much.
He
said
he
knew
too
much
about
one
of
those
men.
He
didn’t
want
the
man
to
know
he
knew.
He
was
sure
the
man
would
kill
him.
The
old
man
promised
to
keep
it
secret
again
and
said:
“Why
did
you
follow
those
men,
boy?
Did
they
look
suspicious?”
Huck
was
quiet
and
thought
before
he
spoke.
Then
he
said:
“Well,
people
say
I’m
a
bad
boy.
Sometimes
I
can’t
sleep
because
I
think
about
it.
Last
night,
I
couldn’t
sleep.
I
walked
up
the
street
at
midnight,
thinking.
I
stopped
by
the
old
brick
store.
Then
I
saw
these
two
men
pass
by
with
something
under
their
arm.
I
thought
they
stole
it.
One
was
smoking,
and
the
other
wanted
a
light.
They
stopped,
and
I
saw
their
faces.
The
big
one
was
the
deaf
and
dumb
Spaniard.
The
other
looked
rough
and
ragged.”
