Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 25, Página 11
"Okay.
Let’s
hide
the
tools
in
the
bushes."
The
boys
came
that
night
at
the
right
time.
They
sat
in
the
shadows
and
waited.
It
was
a
lonely
place,
and
the
hour
was
serious.
The
wind
moved
the
leaves,
and
it
sounded
like
whispers.
Ghosts
seemed
to
hide
in
dark
corners.
A
dog
howled
far
away,
and
an
owl
hooted.
The
boys
felt
quiet
because
of
these
sounds,
and
they
didn’t
talk
much.
After
a
while,
they
thought
it
was
midnight.
They
checked
the
shadow
and
started
to
dig.
They
felt
excited
and
worked
hard.
The
hole
got
deeper,
but
they
only
found
rocks.
Every
time
they
hit
something,
they
hoped
it
was
treasure,
but
it
wasn’t.
Finally,
Tom
said:
“It’s
no
use,
Huck,
we’re
wrong
again.”
“But
we
can’t
be
wrong.
We
watched
the
shadow
carefully.”
“I
know,
but
there’s
something
else.”
“What’s
that?”
“We
just
guessed
the
time.
Maybe
it
was
too
late
or
too
early.”
Huck
put
down
his
shovel.
