Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 4, Página 6
Mr.
Walters
needed
one
more
thing
to
be
happy.
He
wanted
to
give
a
Bible
prize
and
show
a
special
student.
Some
students
had
yellow
tickets,
but
not
enough.
He
wished
the
German
boy
was
back
with
a
clear
mind.
Just
then,
when
hope
was
gone,
Tom
Sawyer
came
forward.
He
had
nine
yellow
tickets,
nine
red
tickets,
and
ten
blue
ones.
He
asked
for
a
Bible.
Walters
was
surprised
because
he
did
not
expect
this
from
Tom
for
many
years.
But
the
tickets
were
real.
Tom
joined
the
Judge
and
the
important
people,
and
the
news
spread.
It
was
a
big
surprise,
and
everyone
was
amazed.
The
boys
were
jealous,
but
the
ones
who
traded
tickets
with
Tom
felt
the
worst.
They
realized
too
late
they
helped
Tom
by
trading
for
whitewashing.
The
prize
was
given
to
Tom
with
as
much
excitement
as
the
superintendent
could
show.
But
he
felt
something
was
strange.
It
was
hard
to
believe
Tom
knew
so
much
about
the
Bible.
Amy
Lawrence
was
proud
and
happy.
She
tried
to
show
Tom,
but
he
did
not
look
at
her.
She
felt
a
little
worried.
Then
she
had
a
suspicion,
and
she
watched
him.
A
quick
look
told
her
everything,
and
her
heart
broke.
She
became
jealous
and
angry,
and
tears
came.
She
hated
everyone,
especially
Tom.
Tom
was
introduced
to
the
Judge.
He
was
very
nervous
and
could
hardly
breathe.
His
heart
was
beating
fast,
partly
because
the
Judge
was
important,
but
also
because
he
was
her
father.
Tom
wanted
to
worship
him
if
it
was
dark.
The
Judge
put
his
hand
on
Tom’s
head
and
called
him
a
fine
boy,
then
asked
his
name.
“Tom.”
“Oh,
no,
not
Tom—it
is—”
“Thomas.”
