Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 7, Página 3
When
school
ended
at
noon,
Tom
hurried
to
Becky
Thatcher
and
whispered
in
her
ear:
"Put
on
your
bonnet
and
pretend
you're
going
home.
When
you
reach
the
corner,
sneak
away
and
come
back
through
the
lane.
I'll
do
the
same
from
the
other
side."
So
one
went
with
one
group
of
students,
and
the
other
with
another.
Soon,
they
met
at
the
bottom
of
the
lane,
and
when
they
reached
the
school,
they
had
it
all
to
themselves.
They
sat
together
with
a
slate,
and
Tom
gave
Becky
the
pencil,
guiding
her
hand
to
draw
another
surprising
house.
When
they
got
tired
of
drawing,
they
started
talking.
Tom
was
very
happy.
He
asked:
"Do
you
like
rats?"
"No!
I
hate
them!"
"Well,
I
do
too—live
ones.
But
I
mean
dead
ones,
to
swing
around
your
head
with
a
string."
"No,
I
don't
like
rats
much.
I
like
chewing-gum."
"Oh,
me
too!
I
wish
I
had
some
now."
