Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 8, Página 5
"Hey,
Joe,
you
can
be
Friar
Tuck
or
Much
the
miller's
son
and
hit
me
with
a
quarter-staff;
or
I'll
be
the
Sheriff
of
Nottingham,
and
you
be
Robin
Hood
for
a
bit
and
kill
me."
This
was
a
good
idea,
so
they
played
out
these
adventures.
Then
Tom
became
Robin
Hood
again,
and
a
tricky
nun
let
him
bleed
his
strength
away
from
a
wound.
Finally,
Joe,
acting
as
a
group
of
crying
outlaws,
dragged
him
away
sadly,
gave
him
his
bow,
and
Tom
said,
"Where
this
arrow
lands,
bury
poor
Robin
Hood
under
the
greenwood
tree."
He
shot
the
arrow,
fell
back,
and
would
have
died,
but
he
landed
on
a
nettle
and
jumped
up
too
happily
for
a
dead
man.
The
boys
got
dressed,
hid
their
gear,
and
left,
sad
that
there
were
no
more
outlaws.
They
wondered
what
modern
life
had
done
to
make
up
for
losing
them.
They
said
they
would
rather
be
outlaws
in
Sherwood
Forest
for
a
year
than
President
of
the
United
States
forever.
