Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 13, Página 7
"Run
away!
Well,
you’d
be
a
fine
example
of
a
lazy
hermit.
You’d
be
a
disgrace."
The
Red-Handed
didn't
respond,
being
busy
with
something
else.
He
had
finished
carving
out
a
cob,
and
now
he
attached
a
weed
stem
to
it,
filled
it
with
tobacco,
and
was
pressing
a
coal
to
it,
blowing
a
cloud
of
fragrant
smoke—he
was
in
the
full
bloom
of
luxurious
contentment.
The
other
pirates
envied
him
this
grand
vice
and
secretly
decided
to
learn
it
soon.
Then
Huck
said:
"What
do
pirates
have
to
do?"
Tom
said:
"Oh,
they
have
a
great
time—capture
ships
and
burn
them,
take
the
money
and
bury
it
in
scary
places
on
their
island
where
ghosts
and
things
guard
it,
and
make
everyone
on
the
ships
walk
the
plank."
"And
they
take
the
women
to
the
island,"
said
Joe;
"they
don’t
kill
the
women."
"No,"
agreed
Tom,
"they
don’t
kill
the
women—they're
too
noble.
And
the
women
are
always
beautiful,
too."
"And
don’t
they
wear
the
most
amazing
clothes!
Oh
no!
All
gold
and
silver
and
diamonds,"
said
Joe,
with
enthusiasm.
