Las aventuras de Tom Sawyer
Capítulo 23, Página 9
"Wait—hold
on.
Don’t
mention
your
companion’s
name.
We
will
bring
him
forward
at
the
right
time.
Did
you
take
anything
there
with
you?"
Tom
hesitated
and
looked
confused.
"Speak
up,
my
boy—don’t
be
shy.
The
truth

story,
his
words
flowed
more
easily;
soon,
every
sound
ceased
except
his
voice;
every
eye
was
on
him;
with
parted
lips
and
bated
breath,
the
audience
hung
on
his
words,
losing
track
of
time,
captivated
by
the
chilling
details
of
the
tale.
The
tension
reached
its
peak
when
the
boy
said:
"—and
as
the
doctor
turned
around
and
Muff
Potter
fell,
Injun
Joe
leaped
with
the
knife
and—"
