El Gran Gatsby
Capítulo 5, Página 19
Inside,
we
walked
through
the
rooms.
I
felt
like
people
were
hiding.
Gatsby
closed
the
library
door.
I
thought
I
heard
someone
laugh.
We
went
upstairs.
We
saw
many
rooms.
There
were
bedrooms
and
bathrooms.
We
saw
a
man
on
the
floor.
He
was
Mr.
Klipspringer.
He
was
in
pyjamas.
He
did
exercises.
We
went
to
Gatsby's
room.
It
had
a
bedroom
and
a
study.
We
sat
and
drank
a
glass
of
something
from
a
cupboard.
Gatsby
looked
at
Daisy.
He
looked
at
her
all
the
time.
He
checked
her
eyes.
He
wanted
to
see
if
she
liked
his
things.
Sometimes
he
looked
around,
surprised.
It
was
like
nothing
was
real.
Once
he
almost
fell
down
the
stairs.
His
bedroom
was
simple.
The
dresser
had
gold
things.
Daisy
took
a
brush.
She
was
happy.
She
brushed
her
hair.
Gatsby
sat
down
and
laughed.
"It’s
so
funny,
old
sport,"
he
said.
"I
can’t—When
I
try
to—"
He
felt
different.
First,
he
was
shy.
Then,
he
was
happy.
Now
he
was
surprised.
He
waited
for
this
day.
He
dreamed
about
it.
Now
he
was
tired,
like
a
clock
that
stopped.
